The Ghost of Her...

You hope that the light will banish the ghost of her. The ghost of the blood that spilt and the screams that stilled the night so many moons ago... so many hundred years ago. Sometimes you will feel those phantoms fingers brush your cheek. Sometimes you will hear her soft sad sighs. Sometimes you will see just a flicker at the corner of your eye and tell yourself that it's a trick of the light or your imagination. Sometimes you will hear her sobbing. Sometimes...

This photo was taken in Greenwich. It's a very old and impressive building dating back the the reign of King Henry the 8th. I will get more of this building for sure. It is, as you can see, most impressive by night. I am sure it's full of many stories, and many ghosts... hope you like the photograph.

Sometimes you will enter this forbidden place, and find her eyes, drowning in the black pools of sorrow.

Sometimes you will enter with a small candle and a prayer, and banish the ghost of her, leaving only a holy presence that will guard all women who enter hereafter.

What an eerie place, especially at night.

Cristina, glad you liked, and yes it's a really great place. Not spooky when drenched with sunlight :-)

MArvellous shot! Love it :P U using a mini tripod with this shot?

Axrix, glad you like!!! No, I didn't use a mini tripod. There is a metal railing in front of the building so I rested my camera there so as to keep it steady for this shot :-)

Cool atmosphere. I like that kind of building. Quite recently I spent a couple of hours in an old monastary of the Dominicans in Oaxaca. I adored especially the library and the patio.
