Destino Sevilla y Andalucia

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

Yes! My holidays are booked! In just about 2 months I will be travling to Sevilla - Spain where I will be exploring the city and the region of Andulacia! I'm very excited. As you can see from the picture I have brought a travel book... well, travel book(s) :-D and am busy devouring all the facts and information that I can on Sevilla and Andulacia! I already have so many I want to visit!!! I have only 6 and a half days so no way to visit them all!! The region sounds so beautiful and interesting.

I think I am going to love it and shall be returning to explore much more. I already am thinking that I would love to do a walking tour of the Sierra Nevada. Ah, so much to experience and so little time! Of course, I will document my travels on my blog and share it with you. The hotel where I will be staying has internet connection there so I will try to blog my travels every day! I will probably have to wait until I get home again to load up photographs.

In the run up to my trip I will put up a few posts of places that I am interested in seeing! Also, I will post up some photograhs of my last trip to Spain when I visted Barcelona! I have lots of nice photographs sitting on my hard drive gathering virtual dust...

So... Now all I have to do is wait till it comes around and hope it does not fly away too quickly when it finally does! I am excited! And of course Andulacia is the home of flamenco! I really like flamenco and very much like Camaron De La Isla ( born in Cadiz ) and of Jose Merce. The two greats! I'm looking foward to see flamenco performed live and live it's passion! My quest is to find some good flamenco and not tacky tourist flamenco!

Best Wishes
- Martin

Martin, I'll be looking up at the moon, and thinking of you dancing under it, or sleeping under it's pale light.

Have a wonderful journey, Luna!

If you have some minutes free on your trip to Sevilla you can stop a moment in Poblete you will be welcome. And if you want to see a good flamenco preformed live and not tacky tourist flamenco come to one of my cousin performed.
Here you can see her on one of her performed.

Andalucia is one of the most beautiful places of Spain but one of the hottest places too.

Ahhhh... Sevilla... i've been there briefly... drove from south portugal to sevilla... Very exciting... Remember Sevilla has most beautiful grey horses.... if u meet one, take a pic... for me :)

U're leaving in 2 months time, thats when its not so hot...Thats good..
its inside the country and the sea is far away, very different from Barcelona wich is closest to my heart of all the cities of Spain...
I wish you an outstanding trip and looking forward to hear about it...

UBER: Thanks for the well wishes! I am certain to have a good time! I just wish I had more days. Still, that's life isn't it? We have to make the most of the time that we have.

MERMAID: Thanks :-) If I see the ocean I will send you some of her magic...

JOSIE: Wow, thank you! I might just stop by there :-) Where is it in relation to Sevilla? I didn't know that you lived in that part of Spain :-)

I would be interested to see your cousin play! Thanks again! What times and locations do you think I might be able to catch the flamenco show?

As mentioned, I will be going 9th till 16th. Hope that it will not be too hot at that time :-)

JENNIE: Your sister is wise :-D You should visit. Spain stole my heart long ago and always calls to me still.

STRIKER: Welcome :-) Happy you like what you see here. Yes, I very much like photography. I visited your blog. Very nice. I see you are enchanted by the skies also? I will be watching... :-) Come back and visit soon!

ANGEL: Thanks for the good wishes... :-)

You drove from Portugal? Wow, that must have been really amazing. I really wish that I could drive. To drive around the region would be the best way to visit many things and get to see the countryside.

If I meet on of those horses then will say Hola for you and take a pic for you! :-)

Axrix, looking forward to place all my photographs here. I might be visiting other cities. I am not sure yet. I have only a limited time there. There are cities I would very much like to see such as Ronda, Granada, Cordoba, Cadiz but it depends on many things. Well, there will always be the next time :-D I will be posting up some of my photographs of Barcelona in the coming weeks so watch out for those if you are interested in other cities :-)

i love those DK eyewitness books: good for inspiration even if you're not ever actually going to get to that place.

JUST ME: This is the first DK book that I have got, and I am impressed with it. I find some of the other guide books are far to "rambling" and you have to wade through oceans of text to find the info you want. I just want to know 3 things: What is it? Where is it? How do I get there?

The DK book is great for the first two although bit skimpy with the third. Love the 3D maps and photos! Can recommend the DK books to anybody.

Haven't seen much of Andalucia myself and hate flamenco with a passion, so I'm no good here. But I really hope you'll have a great trip.

Great travel book . I have one of the same collection on Stockholm and just love it.

Anyway - I hope you're doing fine today. I don't know whereabouts in London you are, but I really hope you and your relatives and friends are safe and well after the tragic event.

Thanks for the thoughts and wishes. Much appreciated :-)

I know there is little you can say to such an event. Me and everybody I know checking to see if everybody is OK. Thankfully nobody I know or anybody else that I have spoken to has any personal horror stories.

The feeling here in London is very muted today.

Very sad. When will the human race grow up and stop hurting each other?

I know how sad you are now, but I am glad you are well.

I don’t live in Andalucia I live in Castilla la Mancha. But from Sevilla to Ciudad Real with the AVE ( a very fast train) there are only 1 hour and 45 minutes.
I don’t know if my cousin has any performed at this date I’ll ask her.

Thank you Josie! :-)
